I am having a problem with NI SignalExpress where the application fails to open fully - it closes immediately after the splash screen. I am using windows XP Pro. SP3.
I have tried uninstalling, clearing registry errors and re-installing, I have also tried repairing the installation - neither of which work.
A trial installation of SignalExpress was installed on my PC before I obtained a full copy with the purchase of a DAQ (usb-6218).

Hi Andrew,
Sounds a bit nasty. If repairing and re-installing and all that malarky isn't working I'd recommend using msiblast to clean up your computer of all NI software and starting again with a fresh install. When you uninnstall software it doesn't get rid of everything, there are still hidden files dootted around.
I've attached msiblast.exe.
-Run msiblast
-Make sure that the radio button "Show NI Installers only" is chosen.
-Highlight everything and click Uninstall.
When this is finished your computer will be NI free. After this;
-Install all NI software you have i.e. Signal express, LabVIEW
-Then install the drivers. The USB-6218 uses the DAQmx driver which the latest version can be downloaded from this link.
