Still need to mass compile Default values.llb in LV using TS4.2.1?

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm using TestStand 4.2.1 and LabVIEW 2009. While re-reading (New combination of NI software) "Using LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI with TestStand I came across this paragraph.

Using a LabVIEW 8.6.x or Later Development System

When you install a version of LabVIEW later than LabVIEW 8.6.x and you

want to use that version of LabVIEW with TestStand, you must complete

the following steps to update TestStand - Default Values 86.llb

to allow the LabVIEW Adapter to retrieve the default parameter values

of the VIs.

1. Create a copy of
TestStand - Default Values 86.llb.

2. Rename the copy TestStand - Default Values xx.llb, where

xx indicates the version of LabVIEW, with out a revision number, you

want to use with TestStand.

3. Mass compile
TestStand - Default Values xx.llb using the

version of LabVIEW you want to use with TestStand.

Do I still have to do this with LabVIEW 2009 and TestStand 4.2.1?

Hi GovBob,

You do not need to do this with LabVIEW 2009 and TestStand 4.2.1. If you navigate to this location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2.1\AdapterSupport\LabVIEW you will see that there is  Default Values 90.llb folder already.
