How will using LV 8.5 impact my use of NI-RIO 3.1.0

Solved!
Go to solution
I have just started using the NI Compact Rio hardware and while I was installing NI-RIO 3.1.0 it gave me the message that I should really be using at least LV 8.5.1.  At this time I am unable to use LV 8.5.1 because I work in a regulated environment and am stuck at 8.5 for the time being.  Is this going to really affect me or will I most likely be OK?  Thank you for any insight you can provide.

You should be just fine with RIO 3.1 and LabVIEW 8.5. Please note that 3.1.1 is available on our website at http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1289/lang/en and you will see in the readme that version of LabVIEW past 8.0 are supported.

To verify the minimum software versions of LabVIEW and RIO for your hardware see this link:

ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/tut/crio_software_versions.htm

Let us know if you have problems. Be sure to install RIO after all toolkits and modules.

Thank you Anna,

That appears to be our real problem, we ordered a cRIO-9022 and it looks like that isn't supported until labVIEW 8.6.
